Cadet Forces Medal

The Cadet Forces Medal is awarded to Commissioned Officers of the UK and New Zealand Cadet Forces in recognition of long and exemplary service. Instituted in 1950, it is awarded to officers after 12 years of continuous service. Additional clasps are awarded for further continuous service: 8 years in the case of the New Zealand Cadet Forces. The ribbon has a green background, yellow edges, narrow stripes of dark blue, red and light blue. It should be worn with the dark blue stripe further from the left shoulder than the strip of light blue.
