VINCENT, Frank
Frank Vincent joined the Royal Navy in 1900 as a Boy Seaman. He trained in Devonport, United Kingdom and was promoted to Ordinary Seaman in 1902, Able Seaman in 1903, and subsequently made Leading Seaman in 1905.
During the early 1900s he primarily served in ships attached to the Home and Channel Fleets including HM Ships Caesar, Argyll, and Majestic. In 1910 while serving in HMS New Zealand he was awarded the Naval Good Shooting Medal. In 1911, after being absent from place of duty he was disrated back to Able Seaman. The following year he served for a short period in HMS Monmouth, an armoured cruiser operating on the China station. Vincent was invalided out of the Royal Navy in 1912 due to illness.

The Naval Good Shooting Medal was awarded to those came first place in gunnery competitions held during the Annual Fleet Competitions. The competitions ran from 1903 to 1914.
